I just ordered your book on cold calling and can't wait for it to arrive. You make a lot of valid and very logical arguments that you make against cold calling. You probably mention this in your book, but you can add technology to the list of reasons of why cold calling is doomed going forward. Most of us have caller i.d. at our desk and voicemail. We simply do not answer unrecognizable calls.

This all sounds great if your company has great visibility and people are beating your door down for your product or service.

So what is your approach to get people to come to you without cold calling?? Oh yeah, I have to buy your book to find out :(

Craig, at the risk of causing Dale Carnegie to turn over in his grave I'm going to offer a gentle critique...

Frank's book is pretty reasonably priced. I haven't ordered a copy yet because my reading plate is full... but it's on my Someday/Maybe list. If the cost of a paperback is a major barrier might I suggest that you make an extra effort to pick up a copy?

If not of this book, then of another.

I'm sure this is a problem most salespeople aren't facing right now. I think the idea Frank is talking about is to tip the balance in our favour and bring that about.
