Last week while I was at one of my favorite Meetup business networking groups for entrepreneurs - this one is different because it features a valued guest speaker each month - one of the speaker's topics really caught my attention, because YOU can use it to improve your sales. It's run by marketer extraordinaire Mike Crow.
He called it the "Big Bang," or "Maven" method of increasing your business.
The "Big Bang" Prospecting Method
The method is very simple: Instead of running yourself into the ground trying to do all of your own selling, you should instead find "mavens," or people who can send you tons of business in "big bang" volume.
The presentation REALLY resonated with me, because recently, in my own online lead-generation and search engine marketing business (www.theroiteam.com) I'm moving away from having our own sales reps selling directly for us, and instead, have begun recruiting traditional advertising agencies whose clients are asking for online services, but who have no idea how to provide them. Now the agencies' sales teams resell our services and all we do now is sit back, take orders, and fulfill them.

My situation improved FAST as I worked on creating new lead-generation strategies that were automated, and then I assembled them into one master system that did all of the hard work for me. I created a daily action plan (in other words, a to-do list that’s repeated daily) And then all I had to do was sit back ... and take orders!
