I received a christmas card this week from George and Laura Bush, complete with a Crawford, Texas postmark. This is the second year I've gotten one from them.
Of course, it's not really signed by them - the signatures are printed. However, there's still something special about it, knowing that I'm on their mailing list, and also because the President pays for those cards out of his own pocket and not with taxpayer money.
Are you sending out holiday cards to your clients and prospects this year? If not, why not? It's a nice touch and gives people a special feeling, especially since few people send them. After all, of all my vendors, only one sends anything out for the holidays ... and here I am getting one from the PRESIDENT of all people, who I've never even met or spoken with.
Mail yours now before the holiday mail rush and before people start taking off from work and stop checking their mail.
